The view outside my bedroom window, an early sunrise on a Sunday morning. |
Ben my helper came over about 11:00 a.m., the plan was to work on the garage. I had trouble starting the RV and Ben says "Let me see if I can get it started" yeah right...uh wrong thought. It started up like a champ! I ran out of the house and said "What did you do?" Seems like I needed to hold down the battery boost until it clicks and then turn the ignition key. I was ecstatic! The garage clean-up plans went out the window and Ben and I started tackling the inside of the RV. Oh Happy Day! You see, I had made myself a promise that I would not start working on my RV unless all of my back taxes were done and I got the last one in the bag last night! Yahoo Louie!

Lots of wood to wash |
Ben worked on cleaning the dashboard. There was carpet on the dash as the previous owner had a small dog that would ride up there, I guess the carpet
Needs several more rounds of cleaning |
We found several items the previous owners had left behind, some really neat coffee cups for their Keurig, two stainless steel coffee traveler cups. And a heat diffuser for the range top.
Getting ready to tackle the floor |
Tomorrow I will oil the woodwork with Liquid Gold, clean the window glass, cut shelf liner and install it, mop and wax the floor, clean the carpets, steam clean the shower, clean the microwave and refrigerator, start making a list of things I want in it and decide where I want to store things.
I am sore tonight, but I feel great, like I accomplished something. I need more of this, to toughen me up so to speak. I was so excited today to be finally doing something on my RV that I chose to ignore my pain. As they say "Mind over Matter"
Maybe I can take some driving lessons this week from the former owner. Hey Chuck...are you ready?
More carpet and junk to toss |
